I was at my not so LFS, replacing what we lost after a heater had a hissy fit. I've been going to this shop for years, today I was specifically after female guppys & Scissortails & Silvertips. It's my 7 year old daughters tank, wanted an easy to maintain tank! In the tank that had the Scissortails, a few of them had what i can only describe as water bubbles, about their body, a few other tanks had it after I first spotted it. I bought the female guppys as they looked clean and healthy. But what was that on the fish? Maybe I've spent too much time reading posts in here about parasites, but something's opened my eye and made me look further, rather than "oh pretty fishes!"

External parasites.

Sounds like ick to me.

Thats not a good FS if their fish have diseases.

You should ask for a discount, also you should quarantine the fish for a week before putting the fish in your tank.

Quarantine them, treat them for parasites, that way they are clean when they go into your tank.
