You always see show bettas at shows in simple glass containers. But when these high-quality bettas aren't being shown, what types of tanks do they live in?
I would imagine a very nice ~5 gallon tank, with filter, heater and loads of plants. But at the same time, i would think there would be no plants because of the risk of fin damage.

Anyone here who shows their betta, or knows about shows, know what type of environments these bettas call home?

Ive always wondered this but never could find the answer!\\
thanks

Interesting! I would like to know aswell, i assume they want to keep them in perfect condition so i'd think they'd have just sand in there tank a heater and maybe a very low power filter? Well thats just what i asuume lol.

They can add plants, but they would have to be live or silk, as the plastic plants can rip there fins. I dont know of anyone one this forum who has "show bettas".

:)

I went to the house of someone who sells bettas on eBay. They were housed until they were sold in the little glass cubes that you see their picture taken in.
Just must be a lot of water changes! Whenever I see a betta for sale, they're always in a bare tank, I presumed that's how they were kept.
