i am willing to go as far as needed as price

what would you do with the opertunity

other
Asian species tank
specifically danios/devarios loaches

Wait a moment I already have that in a 4ft tank :p

For the experienced fish keeper looking to try something different a brackish community with some of the larger brackish fish makes a stunning display without the costs of a marine tank. Scats, monos, archer fish, brackish moray eels, large brackish gobies and shark catfish all mix well and can be moved on to marine conditions as adults if your path takes you in that direction, although not all are reef safe.

I must say that a commited-to and planted Amazon Aquarium with many fish (discus, angels, Hatchets, and many, many schoolers) looks very, very beautiful and seeing as you have a 180gallon you could do that. However, when i say commited, i basically mean 'no expenses spared', and if you don't fell you have the money, and large malawi tank looks nice. Just my opinion, i'm sure you'll hear may other good ideas.

EDIT: Sorry, i voted under other because i didn't know what TFW meant. hehe, oops.

i really dont know.....all the fish i like fall into most of the catigories so im open to all possiblities except brackish. i wont be able to have a brackish tank if i get a marine one(no more room) and i would prefer the marine. i dont like species tanks much. i like lots of variety and color

My personal preference is a planted Amazon community tank although a community African cichlid tank would be a very close second.

I nulled my vote because I didn't have my choice of what was best, and I have no idea what "tfw" is...

I'm pretty sure that TFW is Tropical Fresh Water, and basically anything with T means Tropical, so as not to confuse a FW community with a cold freshwater tank.

I have recently setup a malawi tank and it is by far my nicest looking tank yet... In fact I have reached a point in my fish keeping hobby that I never thought was possible. I am 100% satisfied with the tank, and I have been for months now... no urges for change.

Usually when I setup a tank, it is never ending. I always want to change the substrate, location, fish, colours, rocks, plants etc. I have had this tank setup for months now and I have got the tank to look perfect in every possible way I could ever imagine. I don’t think I will ever touch or change it in anyway. The fish, and colours are so unique and everything goes perfect together.

You really need to look at all possibilities, and since you have a good sized tank to work with you have quite a few options. Make sure that whatever you decide to go with that you choose it because of what you want and nothing else. It could take a long time, a lot of research, and a lot work, but well worth it. This poll is a good idea to gather ideas, but make sure you end up with what you want, not what people in this poll want :)
