What Type Of Riccia Do You Guys Have?

I read that there are differend forms of riccia. Only the Japanese type of riccia is suitable to be submerged. Im just wondering if you can also submerge the sinapore and European version of the riccia.
 
thats incorrect Elitefishy. the 2 types are Dwarf riccia and Riccia Fluitians

if you look at the pinned thread in here the 2 are pictured next to each other.

both are naturally floating. dwarf riccia grows much more compact and forms a kind of hedge underwater. fluitians is a little leggy and looks more like a lawn of grass.

dwarf is slower growing and needs more light than fluitians to pearl nicely. both will survive in a simple 1 wpg tank but wont pearl properly untill about 2 wpg with co2.

as far as i know both types come from japan/singapore or somewhere in that direction. we dont get it naturally in europe (not that i know of anyway)
