What type of floating plant did I buy?

this is one of my newly purchased floating plant that I added to my 145 liter blackwater aquarium alongside my already preexisting amazon frogbit plants but I have no idea what species this is and even the guy at the lfs had no idea what it was and he gave it away because it wasn't doing too well so hopefully these plants will improve in my care.

Do you have any clue as to what species of plant this is ?

Looks like Salvinia minima but it's supposed to be green. Was it directly under the light? Looks purple....

Yep I took the image with my phone under the aquarium lights and when viewed in person it's green.

It looks like Salvinia to me. A common, easy to grow beginner aquarium plant. I have this floating plant in all of my tanks. The snails/shrimp like it and it looks good.

Just to warn you that it can rot if condensation drips on it from the lid. That's what happened to mine during a heatwave. be careful with yours
