Yes, you probably do need a fungus treatment.

I'm very concerned that your treating for fungus and fin rot on a two monthly basis. Healthy fish should not be getting those diseases that often and it's 99% certain that they're related to poor water quality.

Either get your own test kits, or, at the very least, get you LFS to test it for you and tell you the actual figures.

10 or 20% a week is no-where near enough, IMO; do a couple of 50 or 60% changes, every other day and see how thing look then.

I do my own tests and they are fine i took a sample to the petshop today and they said results are Ok but i should do a waterchange soon to get them perfect. (my next was due yesterday)

With all the filtration i have in my tank 10-20% per week water change is fine. my levels are stable so i dont feel the need to increase (maybe only as i have had a case of fungus if that is what you were implying)

After visiting the pet shop i put my antifungus in a few jugs of hot water to prepair but the guppy had died. i have treated the tank but no other fish seem infected...

As for treating them every 2 month's i give them a third of a dose to prevent these not to treat them (i have seen a few experienced keepers do this)

Can you post the actual results please OP?

In any case of sick fish, the first thing you should do is up your water changes for a few days.

Don't forget there are all sorts of things that we can't/don't test for that could be present or building up in your tank that are causing these problems.

As long as you use warm, dechlorinated water, and make sure you inferer with the filter as little as possible (a gentle swish on old tank water only I've never heard of a water change making things worse.

Most meds you just measure out into the tank; I've never heard of one having to be dissolved first; are you sure you've read that right?

It's very bad practice to medicate for things like fungus as a 'preventative', very bad. any fungal spores that have survived in your tank are now more than likely resistant to that medcine now, so you own;t be able to use it.

Use something else to cure the fish, and then don't use anything, except plenty of good clean water, unless your fish are actually sick.
