Im wondering what i could put in my small tank. Id like some suggestions. Im thinking of giving up on live bearers as all the guppies and platies ive had have died after giving birth or are the first to pass away.

My tank i want to stock is my hospital tank/fry tank:

Size: Aquastart 320 (38ltr i think)
Decor: two fake silk plants, gravel, tunnel, rock and air stone
Filtration: internal under gravel filter

In my other two tanks i have a gouramis, clown loaches, bristol nose plecs, a tiger barb, albino cory, silver fox, two neons, 3 rosybarbs, various african cichlids and south american cichlids.

Im not to sure what to put in the empty tank. It would need to be something that would not grow large. Something pretty perhaps... ive tried rams but they didnt last long. I lost a lot of my fish in the non cichlid tank a few months ago to an internal bug which wiped out 3/4s of my tank. So im pretty fussy what i keep now.

Im over the breeding phase and fry phase so really would just like to maintain it and have a 'pretty fish'.

Thoughts?

Oh my location is Victoria, Australia if that limits the type of fishy.

Hi the aqua one 320 is 28 litres :)

Which doesnt give you much to play with. Maybe a single male siamese fighter or a dwarf puffer. Or a nice small shrimp set up?

Ember tetra's. I know I sound like a broken record but you could get away with 10-20 ember tetra's in there, and they're great little fish and would look fantastic with a black background and a nice central densely planted area.

I would have suggested CPD's (celestial pearl danio's/galaxy rasbora's) but I'd only advise them if you intend to breed them as they're close to extinction in their natural habitat, and are still fairly uncommon in UK shops.
