Hi' I've got a 15-20g cube (not measuered it yet) and want something to go in thats fairly easy to breed and look after their young, any ideas?
Water will be around 24-26oC and the tank will be filtered by an eheim external. Thereis no fish in there at present so will eb species tank.

Cheers

Easy to breed? Guppies and mollys. Why do you want easy though? Why not challenging? You could try a pair of bolivian rams or apistogramma dwarf cichlids.

Because normally challenging fish cost more and take up more time :( I've got some guppies in another tank, waiting for them to breed atm just thought i'd put the other spare tank to use . Do molly's not require brackish conditions?

Nope not at all, Mollies can live in brackish conditions but don't benefit either way from it, if you do make your water brackish you'll be limited to other things you could have in there.

What about limias?

I wouldn't want to keep a molly in anything under 3 ft long, myself.

Think i'm going to go with shell dwellers, never tried my hands at african setups before.

What about a Krib species? There are loads of Krib species and they are very easy to care for. :good:
