What To Put Into 60l Fish Tank

red tailed cats get 6 to 10 feet long1
go neons, but cycle the tank with something else, maybe1 danios1
Red Tail Cats generally reach 4ft, not 6-10ft.

Madmorty - has the tank been cycled? If not, then read the fishless cycling pinned topic. If it has, then what type of fish do you like the look of?
What do you mean by cycled, there is already a couple of fish in the tank which are an albino shark and cat fish, I like the colours of the Jack Dempsey Cichlids

Big no no on that one , Jack dempsey's need really large tanks wel 4ft+ find out what shark you've got (go through these prolz be one of them http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showforum=43). Also do you know what the cat fish is ? pics or description?
If you're not sure of what cycling means you probly havent done it , if you can take what you have back to the lfs and read this : http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=113861 . Read the new to the hobby stickies, i read them all and learnt alot .

I've got a 60l tank as well and was just looking for the answer to this question. I think i'll start with a 6 Danio's as i've heard they are pretty tough and i'm very nervous about it all being such a noob! thinking then maybe some golden harlequins and some small cory's think thats about all there is room for really.
There is such a confusing amount of information about, its hard to know for sure but i think if i stick to 5-6cm fish then 15/16 should be ok?
As i'm so new to this i think i'm wanting to play on the safe side!

As above if you havent got fish then don't just yet and do the fishless cycle root, wish i had done the same when i first started as it's not nice fishing the fish out of the tank:( If you're new to fish keeping try stickking to 1inch of fish per gallon. This is one fish at its fully grown size.

I have a male siamese fighter, 3 cory melanistius and 4 albino corys in my 65 litre, against a black gravel substrate, they stand out really well.

As others have said on here, don't cycle with the fish, I did and really, really wished I'd found this website sooner. A fishless cycle is definitely the way to go.
