i am wanting to breed some if not all the fish i will have in my tank it will also be pretty cool if i have lots of little fish in schools.
i have 4 tanks 2 for spawning or quarintien and one 60l wich has 5 juvinile guppiese(i think they are black fantoms or something) dont need to leave spave in the main tank for breeding coz i have lots of pet shops around were i stay that look a bit low in stock

please please help.

p.s what can fit in my tank that is small and looks like a parhana but is vegitairian to stop my sister sticking her dirty fingers in my tank?

Well the goldfish need to be out then as the higher temperature will speed up their metabolism. Also, it will make them more prone to disease.

Anyway, the tanks not big enough for them, they should be in a pond really.

they are only in the tank becaunse the pond overfloved with the rain and im scared of them getting stranded in a puddle wilt i dries up. il put them back when everyting is normal maby a week.

Goldies are fine in that tank it is a little small but 2 non-fancies in a 42 gallon isn't awful although it should really be 45-50 if permanent and provided they are fed well to keep with their metabolism rate as a temporary home its fine. Also as I am now in singapore on the equator and browsing local similar forums goldies are regularly living in 29-30C tanks quite happily having said that I would theorise local goldies have been naturally selected through longevity providing the maximum oppurtunity to breed and therefore have more genes with these traits in the local gene pool that they have adapted immune systems and metabolisms to a certain extent.

On the sister front add lots of varied shape fish or inverts like some shrimp (won't work with current stocking), frogs more snails, khuli loaches (look like snakes) my gf won't go near my tank or even be in the same room without someone being there with her. Possibly the cause of this was I put a very beautiful female amano on her cheek, snuck back into bed then pretended to hit her whilst sleeping to wake her up, which she started screaming I then said it must have escaped the tank and walked under the door into my room she actually locks that door now (not sure how the lock is going to stop a shrimp crawling under but she has a serious case of blonde issues so best not to mention that to her). Also chased her round the room with an ADF a couple of times and intentionally let it jump ut of my hands on to the sofa whilst she is sitting on it.

Easy to breed endlers, Gouramis and a challenge to breed but most species are not extremely hard. Cories are a possibility but you would need to be quick getting the eggs as they would get munched.

Its not cruel it keeps her on her toes for any eventuality occurring at any time, one time I was round her house for a little while after picking up some horned nerites from a friend to put in my tank temporarily, completely forgot they were in my car when I went round hers and I had put them in one of the cup holders just loose as we couldn't find a container and I was meant to be going straight home. She got in the car and when she sat down screamed as something had stabbed her in the back, turned out a couple of them had gone walkies onto her chair fortunately they were fine. I never said I was a perfect boyfriend but atleast I am goos arm candy.

Extend the pond is the only option if you want to keep them. Shubukins get upto 14-16" if cared for properly, poor housing mainly shortens their life due to inadeuate filtration and too small water quantity to keep diseases and harmful chemicals at bay. That isn't large enough for even a single shubukin as they should have 30 gallons minimum strictly but its your choice how to house your pet, my ponds are technically overstocked due to goldfish babies being very difficult to catch until they fully colour up, not to mention being faster then a rocket into the impenetrable lilly roots. Guppies, white cloud mountain minnows or paradise fish would love that pond over late spring to mid autumn and could be moved back indoors over winter months. Shrimp such as red cherries could also be kept in the pond and may survive winter in there but would thrive and breed rapidly in the summer months.

ok thanks for the help i cant extend the pond its a specialy desined plastic pond(my mom bought it) il try take them to a pet shop that will excange for ather more sutable fish il keep my pond for frogs that are found wild here il try get shrimp but SA does not have the widest wariety of aquatics centers.

I find beds the best place to destroy a persons sense of safety, as a bed is always the last bastion of peace and to add an air of risk to it is cripling to that individual for a good few months. Red cherry shrimp are one of the most common shrimp perhaps join a more local forum and you shuld be able to easily acquire some. Ofcourse don't leave us as we are obviously the best.
