Fish Crazy
This is a picture of my tank as it stands at the moment, It was first planted 3-4 months ago and I wanted to give the plants time to root and develop before I started to fill it out properly. I chose a variety of amazon swords and other fast growing grassy type plants and bought a gravelly substrate meant for planted tanks (its lime free etc.) I've also been using the nutrafin Co2 injector with regular liquid ferts once a week.
I'm satisfied that my plants are doing well and I am able to keep up with the required pruning and now I feel I'm ready to add more plants and fill out the tank more. I usually buy from greenline but I dont just want to buy a bundle of plants, I'd like some bushy background plants that can hide my filter and Co2 unit and perhaps even some nice foreground plants? Ideally making the driftwood more of a centre piece and concealing the rest of the tank, if that makes sense?
I was hoping someone could give me some constructive advice on what species of plant I should go for? I dont want to waste my money, I'd like something easy to grow that would be bushy and fill out my tank and also be good for my guppy fry to hide in? My lighting is only T5 florescent at the moment but I am planning on upgrading in the new year but until then low/medium light requirements are a must.
Thank you for any help, I'm new to aquascaping and value your experience
