What To Keep With Two Large Oscars

Hi
I have two 10 inch Oscars and would like to put something else in with them to liven up the tank and hopefully encourage the Oscars to be more competitive for food as they are very picky at the moment, perhaps they are bored being on their own.
I would appreciate any suggestions and if anyone in the Tyne and Wear area has any suitable fish for sale I would be interested to hear from them.

It is a 5 foot tank, sorry for the confusion over new and old world cichlids, I am new to the site so sorry that I seem to have offended someone already

(Its just I notice every newcomer who keeps O's hasn't an idea of their origins)

what is the height and width of the tank? as the total capacity will give a good idea on what else would be suitable to add.

With two Oscars, you could add either a large pleco or Bichir
a group of Silver Dollars or a few tinfoils or Silver Sharks would act as dithers, which generally make fish more active.
Other Catfish like Hoplos would be a cool addition

I' recommend 5 silver dollars, however you will require them to be of a fairly large size so the O's dont eat them as your O's are large

theres always usefull advice floating around and some banter,and of course you can show them off in the form of pics

be warned that the oscar club is a dedicated club set up by oscar nutters for oscar nutters -- just watch as soon as you post a pic, people with start dribbling, not a pretty sight
