I have a 125 gallon tank and ihave posted about it before so ya. I have one swordtail, 2 platy one m one f, 2 molly one m one f, an albino corydora, a newt. What else should i get after a while?
I would have the Platy, Mollies and Swords at 1 male to 2 or 3 females ratio. Goldfish are cold water fish so I would move the tetra from the ten. My Swords and tetras get along well together. With a lot of plants and hidey holes you could get lots of fry, Swordies are big time canibals though so breeding traps are a good idea. I have also heard the newts will eat the fish if they get the chance.
I want to get rid of the newt. I would put the goldfish in the 125 gal. but i want that to be tropical fish. I am not to excited about having goldfish but a lady my mom works with had to get rid of them and my mom told her i would take them. I am not to fond of goldfish they are so messy The tetra that is in the tank with the goldfish and is really mean i also got it from the lady. It picks on the goldfish but it isn't really bad. So putting the goldfish in the 125 is out of the question. I am trying to talk my mom into getting a 500 gallon pond inour back yard and then placing them in there and then adding some more with it but i don't know. Would one of those small plastic kiddy pools would work for them? Would it be ok to place my other fish from my 10 gal. (2 platy, 2 molly, a corydora) in my 125 even though i don't have a filter hooked up? I have every thing except for filtering done.
