What To Get?

ok peeps, so i got a tank thats been running with newts and frogs for a while, but they are going tomorrow, what fish can anyone recommend? it is a 60l tank, 2ft by 1ft by 1.5ft. am looking at bush fish but would like some recommendations please.

Do you want them to breed or not?
Do you want a large group of the same kind?
Do you want larger fish or small?

not too interested in breeding them, size is not an issue as long as long as they dont grow too big for the tank, just want something pretty i can fall asleep watching

Get a pair of dwarf gouramis as a center piece?
Then a school of harlequins or some sort of small tetras?
and some shrimp (they're awesome).

In time if the gouramis pair up and breed it could get more interesting as well as the harlequins.

Just 1 idea..

yeah i like that idea, neons and gouramis that would be pretty, do you think i could mix gourami with bush fish, they're just so awesome looking but would eat neons or little fish

Bushfish are great looking but sadly get to six inches and need a bigger tank.

If you like dwarf gourami then just get a single male. Two males will fight to the death.

ok so i ended up, taking the newts and the frogs out, adding a filter to one already in there and added a fighter, 5 neons, 3 glowlights and a pair of black chin live bearers, they look great thanks for saying cardinals as it put me back to neons. the fighter is amzing, he's a half moon and has orange and blue fins, the colurs are sectioned, i would love to put a pic up but my camera wouldn't do him justice
