I got some new fish and unfortunately the Clowns I have had for over a year got stressed and I caught it too late because they were hiding and they died :-(
Also the Bala shark died as well, so the tank is looking a bit emptier since my big fish are gone.
(See my sig for what is in my 4 foot tank minus the clowns and Balas)

Not right now but in a couple of weeks after I am sure there is no more sickness in the tank I am wondering what to put in there instead, and am thinking of not buying any more Clowns or Balas due to how big they eventually get.

Any suggestions on what I can put in the tank instead?

Some ideas are Cardinal Tetras, Silver dollar tetra, or Black Widow Tetras(these are just ideas I am tossing around, since I don't know how well they will share a tank with around 18 Tiger Barbs)
Some more Electric Yellows, I already have 2 and think they might like some new friends, maybe 3?

And loaches, something like Ladder Loaches or Dwarf Chained loaches depending on how hard it is to get them here, presuming I would have to get most of the fish mentioned ordered in if I was to purchase them.(Which is best in your opinion?)

Or should I go with other cichlids? I could possibly move the Krib or the Butterfly cichlids to the other tank if needed.

Any ideas are welcome :)

I wouldn't get any long finned black tetras because the barbs will say snack time and eat away the fins nor would I get angels because also the barbs will say LUNCH TIME!!!!!!!! And will eat their fins You might be able to get some regular black tetras or some lemon tetras. But someone say something if I'm wrong.

What about something from the Synodontis catfish family? They are compatible with your chiclids. I have 3 upside down catfish & they are quite comical to watch. I would recommend putting in a group of 3 as they come out more. They grow to be about 4" long. I just started researching chiclids so sorry I am not much of a help. I love the Electric Yellows, maybe a larger group? Definitely adds a little color. I believe the Blue Ram is compatible with the Electric Yellows but sorry I am not sure about with the Butterfly chiclids.

Maybe try posting in the Chiclid section. They are better with compatibility issues. :)

Good luck!
