Iv got a little aguatic frog not sure of what type. And i havent actually seen it eat anything yet. my freind gve me some blood worm to feed it with and when confronted with it doesnt do anything. flake foods dont seem to work. and i am getting concerned now as iv had it a week and havent seen it eat anything.

I have seen mine eat frozen bloodworms, and I also offer HBH frog and tadpole bites. I drop the bites into a shallow clay bowl I have in there and they always disappear. I never actually see the frogs eat them, but since the bites are gone, the frogs are frequently seen climbing in and out of the bowl and look healthy my guess is they are taking them.

I had a African Dwarf frog. It is the type that lives with the fishes. IF that is the type you are talking about then, I just fed my fish and the frog ate the stuff that floated to the bottom. I actually saw him eating it too, he lived for about 18months until he got bullied to death.

If you're feeding freeze dried, that's probably part of your problem. I find that my frogs track by their sense of smell, and movement. A bloodworm can literally land on their head and sit there, and they won't know it's food. They'll sense that food is near, but be unable to locate it. Pick up the same bloodworm and wiggle it about an inch from their face, and they snap at it so fast that you wonder how it is they're still all the time.

They're really, really, really shoddy hunters. If they live with fish, the fish will typically eat up their food before they can find it, same with shrimps.
