i have a marine setup but would like to convert back to fresh water as they are easier to maintain and also less expensive to maintain. I work in an Aquarium and today in our big discus tank a pair layed eggs on a broad plant for the first time. this got me thinking how hard can it be to breed discus.
my idea is this. buy some discus, hope that two will pair up and attempt to breed them. however i am abit putoff by the price of these fish but on the upside when it comes to selling the fry i will make more money.
my second and cheeper alternative idea is this. buy about half a dozen angel fish from different sources to be sure atleast a pair will form and have a go at breeding them.
what is harder to breed, the discus or the angel fish.
thanks

Not sure which are easier to breed but I'd go angel fish, easier to maintain.

and cheeper so if i bought about 6 of them there is more chance they should form a pair rayther than if i spend alot more on the same amount of discus.
any other suggestions
