What To Do With My Fluval Edge

So I have a fluval edge and need to restock it, so I am looking for ideas.

I dont want a betta (already have one)
I dont want shrimp or dwarf frogs (unless theres more fish in with them)
I dont want tetras or livebearers or other small fish

I am looking for like one or two or three fish that would be "neat" to have, something out of the ordinary.
Im considering a dwarf puffer or two, and maybe ottos with them, but Im just wondering if theres any other ideas out there or not. I dont really have any interest in the comments regarding the tank being useless or only useful for bettas either, just want some ideas. You guys have lots of great ideas, experience, and fish, so I am just checking to see if there is any idea I havent considered yet before going with the dwarf puffer.

I like the sound of dwarf puffers, their charismatic little fish. How about some bumblebee gobys? (make sure there the freshwater kind though!)

I don`t mean for this question to sound like a typical 'blonde' question but......do you have your Betta in the Edge or in another tank?

Just want to clarify whether you`re looking at seperate tanks or adding puffers to the Betta (I`m not assuming you`re daft btw)

There is no such thing as a freshwater bumblebee gobie. They can survive in freshwater for a while, but not long.
Fluval Edge aquariums are 23 litres, right? Which is the equivalent of about 5 UK gallons. A lot of people may disagree but in my opinion, if a lot of cover is provided, via plants, wood, caves etc, I think you could get away with a couple of dwarf puffers in there. However I think the tank is to small for otos. So in that situation the Dwarf Puffers would be the only livestock.
Another possible alternative would be a trio of Endlers and some Cherry Shrimps...

There's clearly two species; Brachygobius nunus (saltwater) & Brachygobius doriae (brackish) within the Gobiidae family. Brackish conditions could well be achieved within the Edge with patience and experience - perfect if your looking for something a little different

If that is correct then i've learnt something new, but as long as i've been into fishkeeping i've been told freshwater Bumblebee Gobies are a myth.
I assume if you were to keep freshwater Bumbleebee Gobies, online retailers would be the way forward?

As far as i know theres Brachygobius xanthozonus/Bumblebee Goby which are purely freshwater Or very similar looking Brachygobius doriae/Golden-banded Goby or sometimes also called Bumblebee gobies which are brackish. Ive also read that the Brackish ones are very rarely seen where as the freshwater ones are the common ones more likely to be found in lfs. But that just what ive read im not 100% sure on it.

Thanks guys, It is 6 US gallons.
I am probably just going to do the dwarf puffer thing, but its good to know not to include the ottos.
And the betta is in a 2.5 us gallon hex I have haha

I have 3 Dwarf Puffers in mine with Anubias Nana, Some More Bogwood, A few Rocks and A moss coved piece of bogwood and they have been fine for a few months now.

My GF little brother has broke the tank though and there is a split down the top of the glass so I am replacing with the Fluval Flora Nano Tomorrow and will be adding new plants with the 3 Dwarfs in (Media is coming straight out the over Fluval Filter to this one plus heavy planting so should be instant cycle or as close too).
