What To Do With Frys ?

I have a small 10 gallon tank with 5 assorted mollys. Couple of days back I found 9 frys (now moved to a breeder's net). I do not have enough space to keep them. I can give these for free but not finding anybody. One of my firends said he can take 3-4 but he lives in NJ and I do not know how to pack and ship live fishes (I understand I have to wait another 3-4 weeks and let them grow a little more). I contacted few local pet shops but they do not want these. These frys will probably die in next 3-4 weeks (I do not want that to happen). Please help !

your fry will be fine in the trap for 3-4 weeks, just feed them as normal, this gives you time to find new homes for them. fry can be posted out at 1 week old with no problems , maybe look into how packing and shipping is done then advertize them on ebay for a mega cheap price, start the bid at the lowest possible and get the buyer to foot the posting costs, large amounts of fish esp fry offered really cheap tend to sell very quickly regardless what they are and how small they are.
people love fry as they know how old they are and know they have the chance of living longer than those bought at the LFS

ok for starters, they wont die ( presuming water quality and things are ok)
next, its a case of looking around- friends, local ads ( we have freeads, as in free to advertise) ebay, and try more shops.
someone will want them, and may even be willing to pay

Contacted 11 local pet shops over phone but nobody wants to take these frys ... Perosnally visited PetSmart and Petco and they do not want these either .... Posted an add in ebay, no bidder ... any other idea ?

i keep as many as i can, otherwise give them away to friends with tanks, i often say, you go buy a tank, cycle it and i will supply you with free fish, works well

You can try rehoming them on the buy/sell/swap section on the forum here .

I'll try my luck on this forum too but I think it's a long shot since most of the posts I see here are from UK and not from US. I live in Dallas/Fortworth (Texas). Anybody interested to get cute red swordtail frys for fee please PM me (pick up only).

I probably have to feed these to other fishes as I still didn't find any takers .... running out of patience and time ...
