What To Do With An Empty Baby Biorb

Now my bettas got a new and better home, any ideas about what to could do with his old one?

I'd like to get rid of the UGF, and replace it with a small internal and cover the remaining UGF with substrate to hide anything I cannot remove. Any ideas how to affix an internal to a a spherical tank?

But then there's the issue of what to actually put in it. It's pretty small at 15L. I know someone who'd like to use it for a betta, would you recommend this? After seeing my betta in his new and larger tank, IMO, I wouldn't like to see one in something so small, your thoughts?
Is there anything else you can think of to stock it with? IMO, I think it could make a small shrimp tank, but I don't think the person I'm thinking of donating it to will apriciate this idea.
