What To Do With An Empty 1gall!

I dont know if anyof you have thought of this but today I was looking at all my immature java ferns and went, HEY, cause they arent growing AT ALL, so I thought about putting together my empty 1gall with a sand subtrate and a nice florestent bulb for raising the baby java ferns, does this sound like a good Ideah

Java ferns aren't the fasted growing plant, though. However, if you have a one gallon to put them in, have something to attack them to, and ammonium/ nitrates in the tank, should work out well.

You say babies... are they from an older fern that you have?
