Over the summer I set up tubs with guppies and water hyacinth and just let them go wild.
The guppies are doing great, I have so many fry and so many generations of guppies.
The water hyacinth... omg. I started with a piece about the size of your hand and now I have about a dinner table's size worth of water hyacinth. It was cool seeing it shoot off sprouts or runners or whatever from the sides and grow more.
I don't know what to do, I am considering putting everything into a 55 gallon tub in my basement, with a single T5 light and hopefully the hyacinth will grow well with that.
Would they grow in doors? Do they need lots of light?
