So i finally got my 125 gal setup up...did a month of cycling and this week just added my african cichlids.

My question is if any of my fish ever happend to be pregnant what are the steps i should take to try to save the babies from being eaten.

If your cichlids are mouthbrooders you will find the female having a huge mouth full of eggs, and she won't eat a thing.if you had find out one of your female cichlids pregnant you should move her to an another small tank so she don't get harrased by the males.the eggs should hatch in about 3-4 weeks.
