ALright all, thanks for advice so far, big help.

as per my signiture i have community tank and am getting a small tank for a male betta, i am also going to buy a 15 gallon tank and still gonna use it for tropical but maybe some more unique fish in there?

any ideas basically!!

it doesn't look like you have any cories yet - fun little fish for a 15G, a shoal of 6 say. You could also get away with 2 or 3 GBR's (german blue rams) and even think about breeding them. Very pretty and slightly "different" fish. Or you could change it up completely and do a brackish tank. All kinds of different ideas for that and the upkeep is not very difficult. Just a thought!

http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showforum=36 <---- check out the index of fish species or google them. You should do a little more research too if you haven't heard of either of them, they are both fairly popular fish. Just want to make sure you can properly take care of any new fish you get. :)

I did have a look on google blue ram looks like a lovely fish think i will pop to lfs first take a look then have a read up, thanks

The other thing with the water in my area is that the PH is high, my tank is at a constant 8-8.5

This would be too high for these wouldnt it?

which of these would you all say are hardy, suitable....
