Ever since I rehomed the platies, my 6 rummynoses are so shy now. They school tighter and dart away when I come close to the tank. Even my bristlenose is being more shy by hiding behind rocks in the back of the tank; whereas before, he would hang from under a rock in front. Any suggestions?

I'm thinking of ordering some more plants for my tank... maybe that would help, but I dunno.

you may have a aggrassive male platy. IMO your fish may be hiding because there is not enough of them i keep bristlenoses in trios and like to keep tetras in larger numbers doing this may help to give them more confidence and come back out and show off there amazing colours

?? Are you saying I need more rummynoses? How many total 8... 10? I was hoping to add other fish later on... like 6 rasboras or 6 hatchetfish. Is this a good or bad idea?

... By the way, I was trying to say that with the platies, the fish were more active. The platies have been gone for a week now. But the rummys have bright red noses; brighter than before but now shy also.

I think I'll just go get a couple of my platies back... the tank just isn't the same without them. :/
