I'm finalising what I will be stocking in my juwel rio 240 (48 x 16 x 20) - which is filtered with 2 x tetratec ex1200's.

What list would you say is most likely to work long term?

list 1

1 x severum
5 x silver dollers
8 x tiger barbs
6 x peppered corys

list 2

1 x blue acara, 1 x firemouth
5 x bosemans or banded rainbows
5 x clown loach (sold locally at ~2-3inches)
10 - 15 x large tetras (serpaes?)

list 3

1 x pair of geophagus (nothing greater than 8 or so inches) - will buy a group of juvies and wait for natural pairing
4 x keyhole cichlids
8 x praecox rainbows
10 - 15 x lemon tetras

Are any of these over/understocked? Understocked being my preference incase I get an "impulse buy" moment in the future.

Thanks for any help, if anyone would like to "mix and match" my lists feel free!

i am not sure about list two, because serae tetra are fin nippers and i wouldnt want your fish's fins all nipped.

personally i like list one

I like list two.

Thanks for the input - even if everyone has confused me more!

So I wouldn't be overstocked with any of those lists? Would I be overstocked if I choose any of the cichlid combo's, with 5 silver dollers and 5 boseman/banded rainbows (as I know these both get ~5inches each)? I realy dont' want a tank crammed full!

i like list 1. and i'm not too sure about the clown loaches in list 2. don't they get like a foot long? i think that might not work in the long run.
