Agree with NaughtyT Congo Tetra is a lovely fish. andywatson29 Nice photo but the Purple Emperor Tetra (Impaichthys kerri) has an adipose fin,your picture is of Emperor Tetra (Nematobrycon palmeri)

I agree with IMCL85, a large school of Cardinals are an awesome sight. But individual tetra has to the congo tetra. I also had a planted 55 gallon once with a 35 strong shoal of Penguin tetras in it, and that looked beautiful.

Yes i know but they have the same colour markings, palmeris are a little darker and grow a little larger than kerris.
