don't worry about the TDS just make sure the water had a GH of about 200ppm and it consists primarily of calcium and magnesium.

i find it realy weird becuase my LFS test for TDS and also one of my breeder`s also test for TDS, i would like to test for TDS as i just brought a new tester!

Sorry can't help you TDS in freshwater, I never bother about it. I just keep the water hard and alkaline for rift lake cichlids. Anywhere between 200 & 400ppm GH, and a PH between 7.5 & 8.5. If they are wild caught fishes then get the conditions a little more precise for them.
