Hi guys. Basically I've got the green light from my landlord to get myself a bigger fishtank (student housing). I've carefully measured out the space I have (replacing an old shelf rack thats completely useless to me) and I've discovered that there is enough space for a tank measuring 30 inches in length.

Height and depth isn't a big factor - its just the length. Are there any good fishtanks (including stand I may add!) that would be around 30 inches long?

I should note that I'm hoping to get an Angelfish or a Discus in there - therefore I know they need big tanks!

UPDATE - I've managed to widen the free space available to 37-38 inches. Thats about it though =)

Hi Mr Melt :)

These are the dimensions of some of the standard sized tanks. I hope it helps.

Thanks - I was assuming I'd only be able to fit a 40 gallon at most in there - seems that theres a 65 gallon tank here that fits nicely =P

Only problem is finding a half decent stand to go with it....

Fluval Roma 125
Volume: approx. 125 Litres
Aquarium Measurements: 80 x 35 x 45 cm
Cabinet Measurements. 80 x 35 x 70cm

That will be about 31½" inches, if you could make the gap 40" would would be able to get the 200L in there and stands come in various colours. I am not running a Fluval tank, but I do use the Roma 200 stand and I am very pleased with it

Just been reading up here - apparently I can fit a Jewel Rio 180 in there (37 inches). What about them? They big enough for an angelfish or 2?
