What Stocking Could I Have In A 6 Or 7 Ft By 2by2ft

6 x 2inch silver dollars
1 x 6-8 inch common plec
1 x 4-5 inch oscar
1 x 3-5 inch ornate birchir
1 x 3-5 inch aligator gar

You really don't want an alligator gar, these get to about 8-9 foot in the wild and easily a good 3-4 in captivity
Even a Florida or spotted gar would get to 2-3 feet in captivity.

If it was me I would go for 3-4 Hujeta Gars (Ctenolucius hujeta) or 3-4 Needlenose Gar (Xenentodon cancila)

I would also try to get bigger SDs if possible, just in case something does try to snack on them

ok ime basically choosing fish that my lfs has in aswell so the aligator gars out

i basically want some fish that are commonly sold that get big

so

oscar
pleco
silver dollars (will try to get some bigger ones)
ornate birchir
could i have a silver arowna

could i have a silver arowna

No, your looking at a 8x3x2 minimum for a Silver as they will get to a good 30-35"
an asian aro is an option but you would have to lose probably the Oscar and the SDs to make room.

What do you think of Parachanna Obscura?

ok ill leave the arro

i like the snakehead
but dont really want one i know im super fussy and thanks for spending time here

could i have a reed fish in there with the others

cool ill see how my o is when i get him

also what order should i add them

hopefully getting theres a 12 ft by 2ft by 2ft for 50 quid on ebay finishing in 10 mins

ok theres a reasonable possibility that iim getting a 8ft by 18inch by 18 inch tank i hope he replys

yeah like 40 us galls but id prefer the 8 ft as it has more swimming length but still a pretty good hieght and depth

Yeh true....might be room for a Aro in that to...with the extra swimming length.

I prefer taller tanks personally but if a tansk that long...will probably look good.

A bloke i know has got a 8 1/2 foot x 1ft x 1ft custom made tank (so it goes wall to wall in his house) it really does look wierd lol.
