I need to buy tubes which will fit under the hood for the aquarium I am setting up.

The aquarium is 48 inches long, 12 inches wide and 15 inches deep.

I am looking to order online and have noticed that tubes can be 42 or 48 inches long - with my aquarium what length do I need?

Also, please could you recommend me some tubes (specifically a mixture of 2 tubes) that will allow optimal plant growth.

Thanks

Please could someone help as I am looking to order online but am unsure what to order and can't find no info.

I guess I might need the 48 inch tubes but if the aquarium is also 48 inches long will there be enough room under the hood?

48" tube will be too long as this is the length without taking into account the two end caps. I would say go for 42" but I'm sure there are more guys on here with more experience than me who can hopefully shed some more light on this (excuse the pun) :D

Thanks - so it is definetely 42 inch that I need?

and what two tubes would be the best for plant growth?
