what size tank would you need to keep 2 male betta's without them fighting?

i wouldn't i was just wandering? how much space each male needed for his place

You could use a small tank and put a divider in, but if they can see each other it would still stress them out. I don't think any size tank would be big enough otherwise.

i ment without a divider. im not going to do it i was just wandering what size territories they would want

There was a huge debate, which got quite heated at times, on this subject, a week or two ago.

Have a read, lots of opinions there!

i'd say you'd want a 4ft at least personally, i've kept males in 2ft and they've defended that easily

i belive betta splendens are 1 per tank (im sure there is a size were they will not be able to come across each other) but they will find each other and fight untill death i did my reasearch on keeping males as they are so pretty :D but the only way i can see it happening were i can have lots its to either get a split tank or lots of little tanks :D oh and i also need to persuade the other half on letting me have so many hehe :D ( ill get there eventually little at a time hehe)

its also very rare that they actually fight to the death, most of the time 1 backs down but still not worth the risk. Glad your not thinking of doing it

well if i found a tank big enough i might think about it. but i wouldn't want one to die... so i probably wouldn't

My betta's are in devided tanks and can see each other,I think they enjoy flaring up against each other.......
