What Shrimp With This Stocking...

I would like some Shrimp for my tank

The tank is a Juwel Rio 240l with sand substrate

I have

6 x Blue Eye Rainbowfish
4 x Galaxy Rasbora (upping to 20+)
2 x Ottos (upping to 5+)
8 x Neon Tetra
3 x Emperor Tetra (upping to 6+)

I would say Amano shrimp because they grow about 2" long, females longer, and they don't breed in freshwater so you wouldn't get over-run with baby shrimp. I have 2 males and they are gorgeous when they are settled, they're also pretty fast so a lot of fish can't really catch them.

+1 on the amanos i also have these and they are great fun to watch and cheeky little devils.

You could also have a couple of fan shrimp too, as long as you have a good currrent.

Boring? Hmm, well I guess we're all entitled to our opinions. I find them fascinating and I put mine in a new set up. I crush spirulina flakes and swish them in the water. You can have them in a new set up as long as there is no ammonia present. I also like them because they get large, mine are almost 3.5 inches now, lol.
