Just aquired a new glass fish tank free from a friend but it has been used as a saltwater and is really mucky looking. What's the best stuff to clean it up with and get rid of the salt without killing any fish in the future?

I also got a jumbled box full of bits, including 2 things that look like filters but I can't work out whether they are complete or not, and if they are which bits go where, where abouts can i find info on how they are put together? The labels say Fluvial 2 and the other one says Hydor interpet pH2, there are lots of tubes there too. Any help would be appreciated.

I've heard elbow greece and lemon juice for cleaning tanks works well, also a razor blade for removing any hard stains (though becareful, not to scratch the glass and more importantly not to hurt yourself, if you're young get an adult to do it).

sounds like i'm going to have fun then! The tank is already scratched inside so that's not too much of an issue, just hope it doesn't leak after i've finished...
