WHAT SHOULD I GET?

Hi!
New to the hobby and have a 37L aquarium with 8 neons in and another vacant 37L aquarium.

I need to know what species and how many fish I should introduce into the vacant 37L.
The family would like some pretty fish, nice looking etc.


So, what advice can you give? Species and quantity please

Before we ca n properly recommend species for you, we need to know the dimensions of the tank (as some fish need more swimming room than others), and the pH and hardness of your water.

Don't forget the water parameters...GH (general or total hardness) and pH of your source (tap) water. If you don't already know, check the website of your water authority, might be posted there.

Since you bought the tank from Pets@Home you must be in the UK. Our water companies give hardness on one section, and pH in the water quality report, though they may use the term hydrogen ion instead of pH.

We need the number and the unit for hardness as they could use any one of half a dozen different units.
pH/hydrogen ion will have 3 values - minimum, maximum and mean - tell us the mean value.
