I'm thinking of adding a floating plant to my sorority tank. I need something that's easy to maintain as I know nothing about ing real plants. And something pretty would be a bonus lol. Any ideas?

Amazon frogbit is a good choice, growing well in my tank with little attention, nice dangly roots, fish and shrimp etc can take cover in them.

ludwigia repens - although not really a floating plant, this floated and grew like mad in my tank. It will produce lots of roots along the stem and plenty of leaves, which will provide a nice jungle-esque canopy for your fish.

I was recommended water wisteria(hygrophila) a while ago for the frogs and that is what i plan to get for the new tank, its basically no maintenance as it grows in both low and high light, the leaves differ depending on how its grown and apparently it grows quite quickly too but you just have to keep trimming it down whenever it gets too much. sounds easy peasy to me which is what i need because i also dont know much about real plants! oh and cobomba was recommended to me on here and after a look on ebay thats another on the list as its gorgeous!
