In the past i've bought a selection of plants off ebay, and obviously some are better suited than others.

I am running a tank with only a single light source and no extra added co2.

Could people please advise some hardy plants, that will also be good enough to withstand fish nibbling on.

Many thanks.

i dont use added co2 or any fertilser, i have java fern, and aniabus attached to bog wood and a few amozon swords all of which grow really well. id say the aniabus and java fern grow best i only bought 1 small plant of each and have now got enough for two tanks

Most Cryptocorynes are suitable for low light and an easy life, I am a big fan of Crypts. What wattage is your single tube (T8 I presume? ) and what size tank?

What's the volume of your tank and how many Watt's of light are over it?

Presumably you're in a low light situation, suitable plants would include anything from the following genera: Microsorum, Anubias, Cryptocorynes, Aponogetton, Echindorus, Valliseneria and many mosses.

CO2 and Fertilisers wont be necessary in a low light set up; light is the limiting factor for the rate of photosynthesis, and in a low light environment the rate of photosynthesis will be slow compared to that of a high light set up, therefore there should be adequate CO2 from the air dissolved in the water column, the fish will provide all other nutrients from osmoregulation and excretion, ammonia produced during osmoregulation will provide most of the nitrogen for the plants and most other nutrients will come from the fish feces or will be found as traces in the water column.
