What Plants Should I Get ?

I had some real plants about 2 months ago but they got ate by someone.
I have a 3ft tank with 2 angels, 3 gourami's, and 5 silver dollars
and a 4ft tank with soon to be 2 oscar's.

Just wondering want plants i should get that the fish wont eat.
Please dont ask what i had before because i really dont know.

Well, you silver dollars will have eaten all of your last plants .
Java moss and java fern are supposed to taste bad, and most Anubias are not supposed to be eaten by fish either.
Also try Crinum natans and Vallisneria americana (gigantea).
I got all those plants on the tropica website, it has an advanced search funtion that allows you to filte rout anything herbivorous fish may eat.
However I've heard from ~T~ (member on this forum) that his silver dollars ate java fern and they also ate his plastic plant .So i guess it just depends on the fish.
Silver dollars are one of the fish I am thinking about for my new 50gal, but I want to have it planted too so I'm just going to choose very fast growing plants, and ones that wont be eaten....

Right....Thanks for the good info. Just bought some Java Moss, Java Fern, and some Vallisneria americana . I'll put them all in my 4ft tank with my oscars until they get established really well and will transplant some to my 3ft with the silver dollars.
