What Plants For Sand Substrate

Hi all
can anyone advise me on what plants for a sand only substrate,and is there
any carpeting plants you know of that would take to sand substrate,
thanks.

any plants will take to sand. As for carpeting plants, what lighting, c02 and ferts are you dosing/got?

Was just gonna say that lol, I've always used sand and I've pretty much used every plant going I think, even my carpet plants are doing great. Does make me wonder if plants can root quicker through sand than gravel etc as mine are spreading fast, but then I'm using ferts and CO2.

Yeah, sand is acceptable.
Gravel with a diameter of 2-3mm works very well for carpet plants. Other gravels and sand are fine to use though.
