What Plants Are These?

Hi. Is this Java Fern? Coz if it is, it might explain why the leaves are rotting (as it's planted)




I also have one that looks a bit like grass which isn't doing as well as the others. I've only had them in since Sat. Lights on 8 hours a day and have dosed with King British Plant Food (that was only yesterday though).

hi, that's a sword, looks like E. bleheri (amazon sword). it looks to be planted a bit to deep into the substrate, it should be higher up, so the crown is on the surface. however, it is usual for the older leaves to die back when planted, as they are often grown emersed, so the emersed leaves die off. it is only a problem if the new leaves that will replace them die off. as the leaves die off, pull them off from the crown.

Yup, swordies, remove all dying leaves from them, and any outer ones or leaves which reach the surface when you get them. Since putting mine in caz (week and a half ago?) its already got 2 full leaves and another coming
