im unsure if i should plant it with the roots and bulb under the sand or not, if not then im going to have to tie it to something as it has veyr odd growing roots! it cost me £3 for 2 :)

hi, this plant is a Dracaena species, which isn't aquatic. it will only survive about 2 months submersed. you can grow it on your windowsill in a pot, and make sure you keep the compost moist. :good:

oh.....well thats not very good is it! is there a spec sheet on this plant i can view?

google 'Dracaena Variegatus' and you'll see how many people got ripped off. You can buy these in B&Q for 69p in a pot.

hm i wonder if the shop will refund me this...or tell me im wrong when i go back there tomoz with these lol

they'll probably tell you you're wrong. it's still worth a try though. once when i was in a fish shop, i was explaining to my grandma that most of the plants weren't aquatic, when the owner of the shop (who had come up behind us) told me that i was wrong and 'they all grow in ponds in Japan'. he said they've been aquatic since he started fish keeping over 50 years ago. and the Dracaena was one of the plants in question. some people just won't admit to being wrong. :(
