Hello,
I was curious to find out what kinds of fish could be in a fishtank with a Betta, if any. My tank is a three gallon one made out of plastic, with a filtration device. :)

Not much of anything can go in a 3 gallon, with or without a betta. African Dwarf Frogs do well though and you can have a couple in a 3g with a betta. I wouldn't recommend anything else though.

Ghost shrimp would be okay, and you could get like, five of them for a tank that sized. They might become snacks for the betta, but it's good nutrition!

Anything else would just get too big. If you do the one fish per gallon rule, and a betta is a little over two inches, then that's all you should have in there. Sorry. :/

I hate how everyday someone posts this same question over and over and over. Use the search engine, thats what its for and stop making us answer this question again and again.

Look, don't get all snippy,Loko17. The Betta fish I had was my very first one. I have never owned fish, so I don't know what kinds of fish go well with what and what will sit there and tear one another to pieces. My family and I have had fishtanks in the past, but they either someone else's fish that we took care of, or they were my brother's, and my brother had a variety of fish in there, including a black eel.

P.S. Thanks for the recommendations, those of you who posted some. I appreciate it. :)

sry but i agree with loko, there is a FAQ at the top of the forum.

Anyway, i would recommend African dwarfe frogs aswell, they only grow to about 1.5 inches, you could have a couple.
