My tank is 65 gallons and contins
sand, rock, driftwood and Five live plants

It has one German blue ram, since the others died. I belive the one still alive killed all the others.
Four true Rummynose tetras.
Five Yellow Guppys (Male new)
Two Honey Gourami (new)
And two other fish which I dont know there names but are some sort of Tetra or Danios.

The German blue ram has been chasing the two Honey Gouramis every now and again and I am worried that they are getting stressed and may die.
One of the unkown fish is hiding and only comes out every so often.
The rest of the fish are fine. :good:
And I dont Know what other fish I should get next time?

Quick question how do you add pictures from you documents?

Welcome to the forum. I would recommend more rummy nose tetras. Ideally these should be kept in groups of at least 6-8 but personally I prefer them in groups over 10-12 (espeically in that size of tank). The same goes for the other unknown tetra/danios most likely (which is probably why its hiding up a lot of the time).

Rams can be agressive towards each other but I have not found them overly agressive to other species (except when spawning). Ideally you want to get a breeding pair in there.

Personally I like tetras (favorites being cardinals and flame tetras). Corys are good too.

Welcome, how long has the tank been set up? You mention you lose the other rams, do you know your water stats, ammonia, nitrIte, nitrAte and Ph?

Its unusual for a ram to bother other fish, unless as said they are spawning, which isnt the case, so something is stressing him out and thus he is bothering the other fish.

The tank has been set up for about two half years. In the first year the tank got infectied and all the fish died I had many different types but all died over a slow peroid.
Seconed try I got some Neon tetras and cherry barbs and then some weeks later five german blue rams. Same thing happed again, but only the one male german blue ram manged to live. So after a while I did a bit of looking up on the internet how to stop this sort of thing from happening. So with one fish in a 65 gallon tank it looked a bit stupid so I went out and got the unkown fish (thats why I want to know how to add pictures from my pictures on this) and the Rummy nose Tetra.
These have lived for about a year and I only lost one. :hyper:
Near the end of January I got the new fish and plants.

get a female blue ram

wots with the food in the title? i use frozen bloods worm mosquito larvae brine shrimp catfish pellets pleco pellets hikari pellets and flakes

i suggest that you dont add abymore fish till its all sorted with the disease then get a female ram

So what should I do for the temp?
And why is sand good?

sand is good because rams are earth eaters and burrow, and the temp IMO should be higher but i wouldnt move it up as a few of your fish may not appreciate it, if you can get another tank (60 litres ish) and have them in there.

Okay got that bit out of the way but what other fish should I look out for?
And how do you add pictures from yours Pictures :X

In a 65 gallon tank you have a lot of room for some decent fish.

For the rummynose tetras, you should have at least 8-10. The same goes for your two mystery fish if they are also tetras or danios, the fact they are on their own, each a different type, is most likely why they hve been hiding. Fish like that prefer to be in groups of 8 upwards and in a 65 gallon you certainly have space.

A group of cories would be nice for the bottom, or since your tank is 25 degrees, you could have a few weatherloaches . The golden variety are quite striking and they are friendly interesting fish. Fun to watch.

They are both the same type, and the one which is in hiding is now out and about. :D

Ive also noticed the German Blue Ram has stopped chassing the other fish. Maybe because they were new it werent sure about them and thought of them as a danger? :look:

It's possible. But you still need to raise the numbers of all the tetras and danios, whichever you have. 8 of each at least. They behave much more confidently in schools and large groups, and they display to eachother as well which is interesting to watch. The Ram may also be more wary of rushing at a larger group as well. They prefer safety in numbers and if he does have a go they should form a close knit group and swim off.

After re-reading your first post, I notice you have on 5 live plants. In a tank as big as that you really need a LOT more. Something like Elodia grows easily and quickly, Hygrophillia Polysperma is another good choice, and some Java ferns to tie to your wood would be good as well. Amazon swords have fairly large leaves and will soon fill any gaps, and Aponogentons will grow tall and many types have quite broad leaves which are good for fish to hide in ( mine do )

I'd say Hygro, Aponogentons and Elodia are all good fast space fillers and all fairly easy to grow under stock lighting.

The lower stalks of the plants will provide areas for your ram to stalk about and claim for territory, and the upper leaves will be good areas for your gouramis and tetras to hide.
