What on earth am I gonna do with all these fish?

Ok...

I was supposed to get 1... 1!!!! betta from a friend who had spawned some turq halfmoons.... then she talked me into a pair. Then that pair ended up being two males because her sexing skills aren't that fantastic yet. So she wanted to send me the two males AND females. I was like, "no.... no... ok... no... umm maybe... no... ok just one.... no!" So at this point (Monday) I'm getting 2 males. She was going to Linda Olsen's house to have them bagged and shipped since she isn't too good at it yet. And I talk to her last night. Linda puts in a masked red and white marbled plakat... a watt and duen halfmoon female (direct from Thailand!), and her two males and two females. This is the same person who was supposed to give me a pair of crowntails from Linda and I ended up with 2 male cts, 2 female cts, and a copper plakat.

She also wont let me pay for the fish or shipping Do people this nice really exist?

I would be a little leery of the fish she sends you, watch for diseases of any kind (itch, dropsy, white spot, etc..)

I've gotten fish from her before and they were in excellent condition! One of the ct's ended up being a tail nipper, but that's his own fault. Linda Olsen is a pretty well known transhipper and has some nice fish. I don't think she'd send out any sick ones. I guess I'll have to wait and see. I'll post pics in this thread when they get here!

Why would you be worried about her fish? Some people just have too many fry on their hands and ones that are less desirable for aquabid and just include them free when purchasing others..... Definitely doesn't mean they are sick..... I'm sure if you have too many there are tons of people here who will take them off of your hands~

No please don't be mad at me for being worried, It's just that I've had bad experiences with free bettas, and I don't want people to get hurt the same way I did. That's all, you can't get mad at me for being worried, can you?

Not mad, just didn't want someone to get on here see what you put, see the name in the prior posts and associate that with sick fish. You never know who may be hunting for someone to buy from, and unless you've personally had a bad experience most people try not to say anything negative...... No big deal, just wanted to clarify.

OMG, that's awesome! Who cares if it's a lot to take care of, those sound like awesome fish!
I know how you feel though... I keep getting tempted to get more bettas, but I literally don't have a place to put them! If I get any more I'll have to start rearranging furniture. I'm already having to move some fish around to make room for my albimarginata trio that's coming soon
