had my tank set up now for a good 4 months and things do look healthy at first glance.

however on close inspection i'm starting to see early signs of what i believe is iron, calcium,Potassium and Magnesium deficiencies. i am only seeing the below on one or two leaves of a few plants but i'd rather nip any problems in the bud now.

one leave on my amazon sword is starting to go yellow at the tip and working its way towards the stem, is this a lack of iron

my Vallisneria although growing very well is starting to look patchy in colour and maybe starting to look see through in places think it could be Calcium deficiency

my C. wendtii is starting to show pin holes in the leaves, Potassium deficiency ?

abit about my tank
40ltr
light is a 18w t8 on for 6 hours
dose 1 drop of jbl flora24
no c02
10% water change every other week
6 corries
4 rasbora
3 tera
1 clown killi
loads of mts
loads of shrimp

what i would say is i still have not figured out how much to feed the fish, they go 3 days without food sometimes, could this be making this difficult by not supply the tank with a consistant source of nutrients, from the fish food and also fish waste due to inconsistant feeding?

cheers

If you are going for an 'el natural' tank then a constant food supply is critical, as this is the only source of nutrients.
If you get some seachem flourish or TPN and dose weekly then this should solve your issues. You can also increase the frequency of the dose if need be.

Thanks, Aaron
