What My Oscar Did Next

After feeding my fish I noticed my red oscars mouth looked weird, when he turned to look at me I realised he had his mouth so full of food he couldn't close it! Silly fish!

Another great trait of Oscars . If they think someone is gonna steal their food, they will fit as much of it as they can in their mouth, even if they can't swallow it all.

mine does the same with prawns.


cruises about with a mouthful for a few mintues and you can almost see him saying " come one, jus hold it for a few seconds then when everyones gone you can eat it"



then 2 seconds later it obviously gets too much for him and he spits it out.


think the most i counted was 6 whole prawns.

our oscars the same he`ll hold them there for hours some times and the other fish will follow him around then hoover up all the slightly chewed soggy pellets after hes spat them out.
