Hrm. My 30g is a little understocked and I was thinking about adding some more fish. Any suggestions? I already have 1 silver molly, 1 blue platy, 1 red wag, 2 BABY dalmation mollies, 4 danios(asst types), 1 Bumblebee goby and 2 snails.

Well you've got alot of choices....but what sort do you want? Shoaling fish? Particulary colourful fish? Big fish? Smaller fish? Or don't you mind? :D

Get rid of the snails and you could go full brackish with the bumblebees otherwise they'll eventually die. Snails can't survive in brackish water either.

I would think it is freshwater because of the snails and there's a freshwater (several in fact) species of bumblebee goby. More gobies are a good idea. What sort of fish are you after? Have you considered gouramies ;)?

None are truly freshwater that I've seen. They might survive for a few months to a year or so but most seem to need brackish water after a certain amount of time. I've wanted to get Bumblbees for some time but I've never found a wholly freshwater species. Everything I read is a contradiction on someone else and from reliable sites and not just fansites on angelfire.

i could be wrong but dont all livebearers like salt? i would go with some more platies or mollies and angel fish would look great too marble angels are my favorite!

My water has a large amount of salt in it...eek, my snails will die? I didnt know that! My tank is semi-brackish, and my goby loves it. I like gouramis but i was looking for a more active like fish. Unfortunatly gouramis kinda just hang, I know, I had a pair of blue's for 5 years. My store locally only sells Bumblebee gobys, which does stink cause I love gobys. They have saltwater gobys and thats it.

angel fish are very active so are guppies when it comes to feeding time

I have dwarf gouramis (2 males) in a 55 gallon. They dont hang around each other (or fight for that matter) but they are pretty darn active. They are also quite colorful. Maybe get just one? I dont know what level of salt they tolerate though.

I think gourais are quite tolerant of salt, and I would love angelfish but wont they bug my other fish?

Angels would only be a problem if you have long-finned, nippy or very small fish.

My bumblebee is only around an inch and a half. Would the angel try and kill him? I was thinking maybe I will get some tetras instead, as they seem quite active all the time and flashy. I cant get angelfish and tetras unfortunatly
