Anyone know what kind of plant it is?
It was three bucks at the pet store and I thought it was pretty so I got it but the lady at that was working didn't know what it was...

Thanks, I think I'm good on that part though.
I've got two 15 watt lights in a ten gallon and according to a random site I went to it needs 2-4 WPG, I think.

Then to be honest I don't think your going to have much luck, incandescent don't put out as much light per watt than t12 or t8 florescent tubes.

Plants would fare better if you replaced them with energy saving bulbs of as large a wattage as possible.

Ludwigia Repens doesn't need high light. Not another of my fanciful claims on modern lighting either. I used to have it in the scape on the left of my sig with 1WPG T8 Stock fittings in it. Grew like a weed. This was in the same setup that Rotala Macrandra failed miserably in! Back in the old days where I used stems. This was also with DIY CO2 and 'dodgy' snakeoil ferts.

It is front centre here:

I would think 2WPG will keep it red whereas most of the LR that are sold in shops (mine was Tropica) is a more yellow/peachy colour.

Today I went to dollarama and saw that they sold flourescent lightbulbs so I bought one but it was only 9w. It is a lot brighter though! I'll have to upgrade my lighting but for now, I'm going to keep my lamp shining into the tank and see how that works out. Thanks peoplez! :)

Screw in in cf's have built in ballasts, which is why you can replace regular bulbs with them in houses :) .

Well, the plants on the side with the flourescent lightbulb are doing fine and growing new leaves near the top. The one on "the dark side" is losing its leaves. I'm going to move it.
