Nice article mate, i have read that before and i forgot to tell you my students actually came online to use your article when researching for a "rock type" exercise i set them :D Just wanted to let you know that your work is used by more than just fish keepers lol, but you have helped educate the next generation!

EDIT...
forgot to say, they were quick to comment on your avator!

wow, thats great to know cray :good:
I'm swelling with pride :')

re avatar; good or bad comments?

They thought it was fantastic, as the teacher i thought it was rather irresponsible and remind them of the dangers of smoking and drinking and of course the appalling behaviour of cruelty to animals.

Regards
Chris

Ohhh and by the way, your avatar is bloody brilliant!! ;)

ahh great article..i will be after granite or slate then..i read that the slate is inert..how bout the granite?..so i presume that neither one will mess with water parameters then?
thanks for the info..

granite is not 100% inert but close enough for aquarium use,
so yes it is safe
