What kind of netting is this

Looks like the netting that loose filter media is wrapped in. Anything made of nylon or some other inert plastic would do though.

It's nylon netting. My grandma used to make dish scrubbers with it. I would think you'd be able to get it at a fabric store or the fabric section of a store like Wal-Mart, although I don't know for sure.

You are most welcome! Good luck finding some  I think it comes in a variety of colors, too, so you can match it to your tank's color theme :p :D

Oh, the colour won't matter after a while.

After a week or two the riccia should have grown enough to have covered the netting.

If Walmart doesn't have it, do you think that an Arts & Crafts store like Michael's would?

Have you received the riccia?

Riccia will require a lot of trimming to prevent it from rotting underneath and detaching itself. Have fun.

I have a bad feeling about this. :(

And SPAR? Supermarket???

South Africa is a bit different when it comes to groceries and such. My boss had a South African guest over last year, and he was in complete amazement when he walked into our local grocer, HEB. He told me, "I've never seen so much food in my life." He was a real gentleman, too.

If you haven't received the riccia by now, somehow I doubt you will. I can't believe it! That package wasn't a cheap shipment either. International shipping, I tell ya! Please let me know if/when you do receive it.

Yea, has this ever happend to you before? I think I better pop by the local Canada Post and ask why this might have happened. Sorry for all the trouble, please at least let me reimburse you for the shipping. :*)

Oh, the shipping wasn't a problem. I made a special arrangement for that. :p It's the incompetency that upsets me. Even if the package arrives I'm afraid the riccia wouldn't look so hot after the lengthy trip. I'm sorry you've had to wait so long. :/

Good luck.

I'm sorry that you had to keep on asking me if it had arrived or not. It shouldn't take more than a week. Not really sure whose fault it is, but I'm still going to check my mailbox daily! :) Hope it's still alive, not sure if plants can survive that long in the shipping container. :/
